It has been awhile. I have been so so busy, I have been in town for a week and have not gotten to visit with Pops yet. Here is the update:
1. I finished the semester. I went to take my Statistics final, which I was not looking forward to at all, and ended up getting out of taking it because Leconte Hall on campus was on fire. As far as I know no one was hurt in the fire and I hope no one lost any important work (like a dissertation). My grades are not all posted yet but I know I made a B in Stat, an A in my cooking class at the McCutchen House, and an A in MGMT 371.
The dance showcase was a success. I had forgotten how much I adore being on stage. I do love to perform in front of an audience.
2. My last day at work with HIV Prevention was Tuesday the second. My boss treated me to a delicious meal at Zaa's on Devine Street. I will be coming to Columbia to help them prepare for a conference at the end of the month. Before I left we all went to an AIDS Benefit Foundation event. It was fabulous and I had a wonderful time. Before going I had dinner with other co-workers at my boss's home and what a delicious meal he served us. Hambers, salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and home made crab cakes. And congratulations to Miss Jordan DeVille....a true winner.
3. I have been catching up on spending some PQT (precious quality time) with Shawn. Last night we had baked chicken with bread crumbs on top, veggies, and he had scalloped potatoes (I am on phase 1 of South Beach)
4. Scarlett (my arabian) has lost her winter coat and is glossy and beautiful. She is sassy as ever, ; her "sister" Ruby however is too sassy and has been nipping me and my Mom. It has got to stop- now. I'll post pictures soon. How lucky o. r. p. is that her horse is old enought to ride!! Of course, if I really get the fever I can saddle up our chubby Appaloosa gelding Lil' Joe and take a ride. On a side note, my family has owned LJ's family for three generations now. My grandparents bought his grandmother, Rainbow, in TX in the 1970s. Her foal was Tara, my first horse, and now we have her foal LJ.
5. I began my summer internship Monday morning. So far so good!
6. On the 22nd I am getting my hair cut (a trim really) at Identity in Greenville. My darling B recommended I get something done with my hair there. I can't wait! My hair is drivng me crazy.
Okay, at this point I think I'm all caught up. I am working about 32 hours a week. I have two days off most weeks. I will be working on my tan, spending more time with Shawn and hopefully soon I plan on trotting on out to CC to visit PR.
