This is just so precious I wish I had thought of it, but I didn't. It is such a good story!
This week I am getting my eyebrows done at Star Nails in Anderson. They need some attention. In the future I want to get a massage (perhaps while on vacation? perhaps a couples massage?) and try accupuncture. Lucky for me, the other doctor at my personal doctor's office is an accupuncturist. My change to eating healthier is going to be the tip of the ice berg for me...I want to do a cleansing fast too. Let's just admit it, nothing beats pampering yourself.

having some fun...
online.
I went here and saw that I could print out pictures from a coloring book of Barbie to color. I have decided to take it one step further and add captions just for fun.
For example, a picture of Barbie on safari "If my ex-boyfriend Ken could see me now...who needs that plastic jerk anyhow? Wait, is that my safari guide?"
or Barbie sitting in her apartment "Oh no...my Xanax perscription has run out! Oh well, maybe I should just go to the liquor store"
I also love this *sigh*
waiting on my sweetheart to bring me a grilled chicken sandwich with veggies (no french fries!) from his work (Outback Steakhouse, yum)

Just Another Day...
Just another day of work here for me. I guess I can not complain....the weather has been beautiful and sunny and it is always so nice to get that *paycheck*. I am liking working first or second shifts...first because when you get off at 3 you still have a lot of your day left and second because you can sleep in a little bit and have time to relax before going in. Working split shifts are not as nice, they eat up your whole day. Today I am working 3-11 and man oh man are we slow. I am here alone, which is why I am blogging. I have been so busy that I have not had any time to blog. I just don't know where my time goes....
As for updates: my fitness plan is going ok. I could be better, but I have been fairly consistent about working out and I have to brag on myself here I have totally been avoiding fast food. I couldn't tell you the last time I had fast food. Since I have been home (which has been about a month now) I have only had fast food twice and I think both times was the first week I was home.
Scarlett has a huge cut on her ankle. I am having to hose it off and put antiseptic ointment on it and she doesn't like it very much. I can tell she is trying to be good about it though. I think it probably hurts her when I put the ointment on.
I had sushi with a long lost friend recently and it was so good to see her. She is always like a ray of sunshine to everyone around her. It is so good when you have a friend that you can see once a year and the two of you can pick up right where you left off.
I got my hair cut at Identity and was really impressed. I have totally difficult hair and I am almost never satisfied with how the stylist cuts it. Cyndi did a really good job and I am planning on going back soon for highlights. I have naturally light brown hair so I want subtle ash blonde highlights. I had such a good experience with the haircut I feel like I can trust the stylist with highlights. I'll post a photo as soon as I get them done.
I have gotten to spend some quality time with my sweetie....it is just great to be able to see him all the time as opposed to being at school. Another thing that is great about being at home: my bed. I have double bed with the most fantastic mattress. Oh I love it. I have also gotten to visit with my neighbor Papa Ridgeback a few times. King Prawn at the Galley with cheese grits...yummy....
At the end of this week my grandparents from San Angelo will be visiting. Oh how I love Texas. If you have never been to Texas...go. It is just so different and wonderful. I wish I was going this summer. I love it there. Of course I just love travel period (which is probably why I chose to major in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Mangement). At some point I really want to visit Africa and Australia.
I just finished reading The Debutante Divorcee by Plum Sykes and am now reading Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books so I am hoping I will love this one as well. So far one of the characters wears pearls with a bikini while laying on the beach. Isn't that devine? I have got to try it. The next book I am reading will be The Sunday Wife by Cassandra King (who is married to Pat Conroy and I have met Pat before)

A Big Ol' Update
It has been awhile. I have been so so busy, I have been in town for a week and have not gotten to visit with Pops yet. Here is the update:
1. I finished the semester. I went to take my Statistics final, which I was not looking forward to at all, and ended up getting out of taking it because Leconte Hall on campus was on fire. As far as I know no one was hurt in the fire and I hope no one lost any important work (like a dissertation). My grades are not all posted yet but I know I made a B in Stat, an A in my cooking class at the McCutchen House, and an A in MGMT 371.
The dance showcase was a success. I had forgotten how much I adore being on stage. I do love to perform in front of an audience.
2. My last day at work with HIV Prevention was Tuesday the second. My boss treated me to a delicious meal at Zaa's on Devine Street. I will be coming to Columbia to help them prepare for a conference at the end of the month. Before I left we all went to an AIDS Benefit Foundation event. It was fabulous and I had a wonderful time. Before going I had dinner with other co-workers at my boss's home and what a delicious meal he served us. Hambers, salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs and home made crab cakes. And congratulations to Miss Jordan DeVille....a true winner.
3. I have been catching up on spending some PQT (precious quality time) with Shawn. Last night we had baked chicken with bread crumbs on top, veggies, and he had scalloped potatoes (I am on phase 1 of South Beach)
4. Scarlett (my arabian) has lost her winter coat and is glossy and beautiful. She is sassy as ever, ; her "sister" Ruby however is too sassy and has been nipping me and my Mom. It has got to stop- now. I'll post pictures soon. How lucky o. r. p. is that her horse is old enought to ride!! Of course, if I really get the fever I can saddle up our chubby Appaloosa gelding Lil' Joe and take a ride. On a side note, my family has owned LJ's family for three generations now. My grandparents bought his grandmother, Rainbow, in TX in the 1970s. Her foal was Tara, my first horse, and now we have her foal LJ.
5. I began my summer internship Monday morning. So far so good!
6. On the 22nd I am getting my hair cut (a trim really) at Identity in Greenville. My darling B recommended I get something done with my hair there. I can't wait! My hair is drivng me crazy.
Okay, at this point I think I'm all caught up. I am working about 32 hours a week. I have two days off most weeks. I will be working on my tan, spending more time with Shawn and hopefully soon I plan on trotting on out to CC to visit PR.
